Masterfully planned, the Dove Mountain Community is nestled in the Tortolita Mountains. With elevations up to 4,300 feet it is easy to enjoy spectacular views in every direction. Almost one third of Dove Mountain’s nearly nine square miles is dedicated to open space. The integrity of its perimeter is protected by more than 10 miles of state owned land.
Dove Mountain is located just 20 minutes northwest of Tucson. Dove Mountain Boulevard connects directly to I-10 at the Twin Peaks Interchange making access to downtown Tucson, Tucson International Airport and the University of Arizona quick and easy.
In addition to the Arthur Hill designed course in The Highlands at Dove Mountain, the area boasts five championship golf courses. There are two eighteen hole courses at The Gallery and three nine hole, Jack Nicklaus courses at The Ritz- Carlton. Think of it, 81 challenging golf holes all within four miles of each other.
The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain opened in 2009 and has been home to the Accenture World Golf Match Play Championships. This single elimination, “knock out” event, has drawn the top 64 players in the world. The tournament moved from Carlsbad, CA to The Gallery at Dove Mountain in 2007. In 2009 Accenture moved “up the mountain” to The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club. If you are a hiking enthusiast or a novice you will be thrilled to learn more about the 29 miles of hiking trails available to you right here in the Tortolita Mountains. If you are interested in a more leisurely walk, there are well groomed paths up and down Dove Mountain Blvd. Along the way you will find a grandchildren’s park and even a dog park. The Dove Mountain Center at the base of the community houses a Wells Fargo Bank, Walgreens, gas station, multiple restaurants and more.
