Short Game Area

The Highlands Short Game Area was developed in answer to a need for a designated area where golfers could practice pitch and chip shots.  In October 2015 this championship golf amenity was added to The Highlands.

Short Game Area Rules and Reminders
Please take note of the following:
The intention of the Short Game Area is for Pitching, Chipping, and Sand Bunker Shots. Players wanting to practice their putting will use the original practice green.

The Short Game Area is open to all residents and members. Like the practice putting green, there is no fee for using the area. The practice balls provided are for your convenience. However, as company property they are to remain at the SGA at all times. The practice balls will be picked up nightly and washed for the following day. After the morning mow, staff will set the practice area up with balls each morning.

The SGA is an extension of the golf course. Proper attire is required.

Be Safe – please keep chipping, pitching, and sand shots to a maximum of 20-30 yards if others are using the area. Full swing shots should not be necessary and may cause unnecessary BIG divots to the short game area.

Fill divots with SAND provided only. No seed mix please.

Repair ball-marks

Rake bunkers

Like the Practice Range, if you are not playing golf that day, please be courteous and avoid using the facilities during the peak times. Times that should be avoided are one hour before shotguns, split tee times during the first 2 hours of each wave, or special events.

Only 2 people in one bunker at a time.

Please do not use ball picker on the green, only the pvc push pipe.
