|Mark Oswald, Community Manager|
As community manager of The Highlands, Mark Oswald has overall responsibility for the homeowners association, golf and food and beverage operations. Mark came to Tucson in 1997 as GM of the newly opened Golf Club at Vistoso, and from 2007-09 was GM of Hilton El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort. From 2009 until 2015 Mark was the general manager of the Oro Valley Country Club. Mark had previously been the director of golf operations at Sunbird Golf Resort in Chandler, followed by roles as general manager of Great Eagle Golf Resort in Surprise and Prescott Country Club. Mark is a 28-year member of the PGA and in 2010 joined the Club Managers Association of America. He has received numerous awards and honors, including being named in 2010 among the PGA National Play Golf America Top 100 Professionals.
|Preston Otte, PGA Head Golf Professional
Preston Otte was born in Burley, Idaho. Growing up he played many sports thoroughly enjoying the outdoors fishing and hunting with his family. Preston attended Utah State University where he double majored in human resource management and business management entrepreneurship. While at Utah State, Preston lettered all four years playing collegiate golf for the university. His professional playing accomplishments are many and quite impressive. Preston joined the Highlands team in 2015 as the club’s new Head Golf Professional. Preston has worked in the golf business for over 17 years and brings a tremendous amount of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to the facility.
|Mike Treanor, GCSA Golf Course Superintendent
Born in Connecticut, Mike has lived in Arizona most of his life. Prior to entering the golf industry Mike worked in landscape management. Previous golf industry experience includes three years at The Westin La Paloma working as the irrigation manager and assistant superintendent. Mike began working at The Highlands in 1997 when he was hired as the assistant superintendent. Mike has served in his current role as the golf course superintendent since 2007.
